Add a yard path

Models Yard Models Yard Models view Actions Open Yard Editor Yard Editor view Select the Yard Path tool Draw a path on the map

A path is defined by a traffic line and is bound by an ingress point and an egress point. The ingress and egress points can be two different vertices or a single vertex. Adding a yard path requires that you draw the path on the map and then define the path properties.

To add a yard path:

  1. Select (the Yard Path tool).

N4 displays all vertices and connection points on the map.

  1. Click the point on the map where you want the path to start. This point can be an existing vertex, connection point, or any other location.

If you click a location that is not yet defined as a vertex, N4 automatically creates the vertex when you finalize the path.

  1. Draw the path:

  1. Click each point on the map where you want the path to turn.

  1. Double-click to finalize the path.

  1. Define the yard path properties (on page 1) in the Add Yard Path form.
